Rivers, Rails, and Trails Days
July 21-23 in Osceola, WI


Join the City of Osceola, WI the weekend of July 21st-23rd to celebrate Rivers, Rails & Trails. Osceola, WI is a short 35-40 minute drive from the Twin Cities area and is located on the beautiful St. Croix River.  Activities and events are scheduled each day!  View the itinerary here on the official

Kayak on the river, visit the beautiful Cascade Falls and hike the trails, ride our historical train through the scenic St. Croix River Valley and enjoy all the city festivities right in the heart of downtown!

There will be outdoor adventures for the whole family all weekend long!  Make it a day trip or a weekend get-away!

Our regular scenic train excursions will be running on Saturday and Sunday including our full 90-minute St. Croix River Valley excursion, our route to Dresser, our first class brunch train, and pizza train!  All of these ride options require purchased tickets.

Honorary Train Rides
There will also be short free 20-minute "honorary" rides throughout the weekend as part of the River, Rails & Trails Days celebration to honor certain community groups!  The honorary runs are open to everyone, with a different theme each trip.

These short runs will ride down the track to the Cedar Bend Bridge and then back. Purchased tickets are not required for these short honorary rides.  A free-will donation of $5 is suggested to help cover the operating costs.

St. Croix Valley Train Rides

What: Our "Marine on St. Croix" vintage train excursion departs from our historical depot in Osceola, WI and travels west 90-minutes round-trip winding the bluffs of the St. Croix River Valley and offers amazing scenic views along with a first class brunch/dinner option OR pizza for your family!  Or ride the train east to Dresser for a shorter 50-minute ride!  There are options for every occasion!

WANTED!  Train Car Hosts
Saturdays and Sundays May-October

We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly people passionate & willing to work with families & kids on the train!

Join us for an informational session & training to become a summer Train Car Host for the Osceola Tourist Railway! This is the perfect summer position for anyone looking to volunteer, build their resume with community service, acquire customer services skills, etc.

Maybe you are retired looking to fill your time, or perhaps you are a college student looking for experience, or maybe just someone looking for a FUN way to give back to the community this summer!

Join our team of volunteers to help share the history of trains & the Osceola area with guests. Enjoy the summer months outdoors riding the train!

Train Car Hosts are an important position on our tourist railway and they help guests interact with the train, they share information, answer questions, and engage visitors 
to make their train ride experience GREAT!

When: We will set up a training date for you and then Train Car Hosts are scheduled Saturdays & Sundays (based on
availability and preferences) throughout the summer season.

Our non-profit museum relies on volunteers and they are an integral position!  They help guests interact with the train cars, share information, answer questions, and engage visitors 
to make their museum experience GREAT!

When: We will set up a training date for you!  Volunteers are then scheduled based on availability and preference.  Hours are flexible and the museum is open 10:00-4:00
